To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the provision of hospital casualty services in East Lothian following his announcement on 6 September about the Lothian health board's proposal to close the unit at Roodlands hospital in Haddington.

Lothian health board is currently developing, in consultation with general practitioners in Haddington and relevant nursing staff, the proposals for a minor casualty service at Roodlands hospital.
