To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what status will be given to any resolutions proposed or made at the forthcoming assize between Members of the European Parliament and Members of the United Kingdom Parliament.

We understand that the parliamentary conference of the European Community (as the assizes are now called) will probably conclude with a communiqué. This will not be binding on the inter-governmental conference. We will follow the proceedings with interest.
