To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply of 26 July, Official Report, column 538, whether any companies have contacted his Department to seek approval for the provision of military training for foreign military forces.

Companies intending to provide military training for foreign military forces would be required to request approval from the Government only if such training involved the release of United Kingdom classified information. We have no records of any requests of this nature being made to the Ministry of Defence.
