To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what requests the International Atomic Energy Agency has submitted to his Department in the last 10 years.

My Department has not retained records of all requests made by the IAEA over the last 10 years. We receive annual requests for contributions to the agency's regular budget, its technical assistance and co-operation programme and for assistance on safeguards research and development. We also receive invitations for United Kingdom experts to participate in the many technical meetings and other events organised by the agency. Other ad hoc requests for assistance are received from time to time.
