To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether he will list the present members of the Tees and Hartlepool port authority.

Mr. McLoughlin

The present members of the Tees and Hartlepool port authority appointed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport are:

  • Mr. J. H. Peart (chairman)
  • Mr. J. W. Cockfield, FICS
  • Mr. R. M. Stewart, OBE, TD
  • Mr. C. Godfrey
  • Mr. C. Ward, MBE
  • Mr. J. Newbold
  • Mr. G. D. Saul
  • Mr. G. Hall
  • Mr. A. D. Frew
  • Mrs. B. S. Lythgoe
In addition, two full-time officers of the authority have been appointed by the Tees and Hartlepool port authority to serve as members of the authority. They are Mr. J. P. Hackney and Mr. N. Britton, MBE.
