To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what proposals he has to ensure that Scotland has an integrated transport system by the year 2000; and if he will make a statement.

As my right hon. and learned Friend told the House on 17 October 1990, the Government believe in a balanced transport policy, providing users with as much choice as possible between competing forms of transport.
