To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list (a) the qualifications and (b) the dates of original appointment of members of the Horserace Totalisator Board.
Board members are appointed by the Home Secretary under section 12(2) of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963; there are no statutory qualifications for appointment to the board, although appointment as an executive member of the board is in practice contingent upon employment by the Horserace Totalisator Board in an executive capacity.
