Oil Production

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what is the normal level of oil production offshore for (i) Kuwait, (ii) Saudi Arabia and (iii) in total for all the oil-producing states in the Persian Gulf.

The normal approximate output levels of offshore oil production are:

  • (i) Kuwait: 0ยท024 million barrels/day.
  • (ii) Saudi Arabia (incl. neutral zone): 2 million barrels/day.
  • (iii) Total Persian Gulf states: 4 million barrels/day.
