To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many of the practices covered by the Barnsley family practitioner committee have met the general practitioners' new contract for (a) cervical cytology and (b) child immunisation.

On 30 September 1990, 100 per cent. of the GPs, and therefore all of the practices, covered by Barnsley family health services authority qualified for either a higher or lower target payment in respect of both cervical cytology and childhood immunisation. My congratulations to all concerned for this excellent achievement.
