To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if his Department will consider undertaking a review of the presentation of explanatory information accompanying payments of benefit to carers; and if he will make a statement.

Invalid care allowance is paid by order book. The information pages in the Department's order books are kept under review.The Department is currently engaged in producing a new version of the invalid care allowance explanatory leaflet and claim form which we expect will be available from April. A new leaflet, containing general advice about benefits and services of interest to carers, is being developed at present and will be available in the summer.
