To ask the Prime Minister when he last met representatives of the British Muslim community.

I have had no recent meeting, but my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, saw a group of Muslims for discussion on the Gulf situation on 18 January, and has also seen a group of Muslim journalists: further meetings are in prospect. My right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Home Office met representatives of the United Kingdom action committee on Islamic affairs yesterday. Such meetings reflect continuing contacts at ministerial and official level.
