Resolved,

That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Ports Bill, it is expedient to authorise a levy in respect of gains accruing to any company to which the undertaking of a harbour authority is transferred under the Act on disposals ofโ€” โ€”
  • (a) land which belongs both immediately before and immediately after the transfer to a transferred 51 per cent. subsidiary;
  • (b) interests in land which belong both immediately before and immediately after the transfer to a transferred 51 per cent. subsidiary;
  • (c) interests in land within paragraph (a) above or in land in which an interest within paragraph (b) above subsists at the time of the transfer.โ€”[Mr. McLoughlin.]
