To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a table to show for each regional council in Scotland the cost of educating a child in (a) a primary school and (b) a secondary school where the school is (i) owned by a public authority and (ii) church owned by reference to denomination.

The available information is given in the table. It excludes the cost of school transport, meals and milk and central administration. Separate information for denominational and non-denominational schools is not available.
