To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what consultations he has had with the director of the Meteorological Office concerning the supply of relevant sections of the national wind map to promoters a wind energy projects.

I understand that the Meteorological Ofice routinely sells its wind data to the promoters of wind energy projects, but the Department has had no contact with it regarding this activity.
