To ask the Attorney-General what information is held on, or estimate made of, the number of successful claims and the total and average amounts of compensation awarded by courts or settled out of court in respect of industrial injuries during each of the last 10 years, based on the date of the injury, both in cash terms and adjusted to take account of inflation.

Information is not collected in the form requested.Information on personal injury at work cases dealt with in the Queen's Bench division of the High Court has been collected on a sample basis for two months each year since 1986. The results of this exercise are as follows:
