To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what assessment he has made of the impact on children's health in Wales of the effect of low income and low benefit levels on the cash available to provide a sound and nutritious diet.

The Health Promotion Authority for Wales is currently engaged in a pilot project which seeks to address the general issue of cost and availability of healthy dietary options. A preliminary report on the project will be available in April 1992.
