To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many complaints he has received regarding the national savings office in Durham and delays in notification to regional post offices of payments to be made on specific dates; and if he will make a statement.

I have received no complaints of this nature during 1991. If my hon. Friend has a specific case in mind perhaps he would like to write to me or the director of savings so that inquiries can be made.
