To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the number and content of research projects sponsored by his Department on oil seed rape.

A research grant of £63,000 over three years was awarded to Aberdeen university in 1990 by the Scottish Office Home and Health Department for a project to study the effects of oil seed rape on human health.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list figures showing oil seed rape acreage separately for England and Wales, Scotland and each EC country in each year over the past five years.
