Health Authorities

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list for each national health service region (a) the total number of health authority members and (b) the number of female health authority members.

Each regional health authority has five non-executive members. The number of female members in each is as follows:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list for each national health service region (a) the number of health authorities without female representation and (b) the district health authorities without female representation.

Information about the number of district health authority members who are female is not collected centrally. The appointment of district health authority members is the responsibility of regional health authorities.
