To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will publish the full cost to his Department of every extra 100,000 unemployed people in (a) 1991–92 and (b) 1992–93.

The information is in table 24 of the departmental report, "Social Security—The Government's Expenditure Plans 1991–92 to 1993–94" (Cm. 1514), a copy of which is in the Library.
