To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what consultation he has undertaken with those directly involved in educating adults, in relation to his White Paper proposals on adult education; and how many meetings have been held with adult educators.

Among those my right hon. and learned Friend and I have met in this context are the National Institute for Adult Continuing Education, the National Federation of Women's Institutes, the Pre-Retirernent Association, and the principals of Devon community colleges and Richmond adult and community college.
