To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the number of dispensations granted under section 14(2) of the Zoo Licensing Act 1981 in each year since 1981.

The Zoo Licensing Act 1981 came into force in April 1984. The number of dispensations issued under section 14(2) of the Act in each calendar year is as follows:
