To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what increase or decrease in student numbers he forecasts for non-vocational adult education in the next five years; and if he will make a statement.

My Department does not make forecasts on the basis requested. However, we anticipate a steady increase over the next five years in the number of full-time equivalent students studying at further education colleges.
