22.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what proposals he has to improve representation of Scotland's interests within the European Community.

Scotland's interests are well served by existing arrangements for governmental representation within the European Community. The Scottish Office makes full use of these in its handling of Community business.In addition, my right hon. Friend supports Scottish Enterprise's plans to establish Scotland Europa, which will serve the European interests of a range of nongovernmental Scottish organisations.
