To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when patients who were assessed as in need of cardiac surgery in February in Lothian health board area can expect to receive notification for their operation.

About 60 per cent. of the patients assessed in February will have been admitted immediately as emergencies. Of those placed on the waiting list about 80 per cent will already have been admitted and the remainder will be notified as soon as a firm date for admission can be given.
