To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much the Scottish Office was paid for the sale of Highland Scottish Omnibuses.

As has previously been indicated to this House, information on the sale prices obtained for each of the bus companies sold under the Scottish Bus Group disposal programme will be made available to Parliament as soon as possible.The legislation provides that sums received by the Secretary of State for the Scottish Transport Group by way of sale proceeds shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund.
