To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many decisions have been taken by industrial tribunals that health authorities have discriminated against black employees or job applicants.

I have been asked to reply.Since 1 April this year, 38 decisions have been promulgated for cases brought under the Race Relations Act 1976 against health authorities. There were no successful applications amongst them.
