24.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what approaches have been made to potential overseas buyers with a view to the disposal of the conventional submarine fleet.

Whenever naval vessels are to be disposed of, an investigation is made of possible overseas interest in purchase. Details of approaches to particular countries are matters of confidence between Governments.
