To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will agree to meet representatives of mobile home dwellers in Dorset; and if he will make a statement on his Department's current discussions on their circumstances.

Consultants appointed by the Department carried out a research study into physical and social conditions on residential mobile home sites over the summer. We shall be publishing their report in the near future. We also intend to publish a consultation paper on future mobile homes policy, although no major changes to the Mobile Homes Act 1983 are contemplated. We shall be initiating discussions with representatives of mobile home residents and site owners at the appropriate time.
