To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his reply of 16 December, Official Report, column 73, if he will make it his policy to meet representatives of the South Glamorgan training and enterprise council, the South Glamorgan women's workshop and the Cardiff information technology centre, to consider alternative locations for a training centre of excellence; if he will meet the chairman of the Cardiff Bay development corporation to consider alternative uses for the previously earmarked training centre of excellence; and if he will make a statement.

No. The location of the proposed training centre is a matter for the development corporation and the other bodies concerned in the first instance and it would be inappropriate for me to intervene at this stage.
