Beagle Packs

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what arrangements he has to license beagle packs to use land owned, operated or leased by his Department; and if he will list the beagle packs that have such licences.

Two beagle packs have licences to hunt on Ministry of Defence land. These are the Glyn Celyn beagles and the Catterick beagles. The licences to these packs are negotiated by the Defence land agent taking into account the particular requirements of the Defence establishment concerned.Five other beagle packs have access to Ministry of Defence land under other arrangements.
