To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on relations with Burma.

We deplore the continuing intransigence of the Burmese military authorities. Their human rights record, and their failure to fulfil their avowed commitment to the democratic process, makes them an international pariah. We urge them to respond to the growing criticism of their policies.
