To ask the Lord President of the Council how many official visits he has made to Scotland to examine and discuss the operation of the Scottish Grand Committee.

I have not made any official trips to Scotland about the specific matter of the Scottish Grand Committee, but I have frequent discussions with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland about the operation of that Committee. The hon. Gentleman will know that the Committee has met twice recently, once in Edinburgh on Monday 24 February and once in Westminster, just last Thursday.
