To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations his Department has had from outside bodies calling for a single strategic authority to oversee transport, land use and environment in London; and if he will list them.

My right hon. and learned Friend has recently received representations from the Institute for Metropolitan Studies, from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and from the CBI London region transport task force, calling for some form of strategic body with responsibility for transport, land use and the environment in London.
