To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what progress has been made with Making Belfast Work since 1988; and if he will make a statement.

Under Making Belfast Work job creation, enterprise development and improving residents' ability to compete effectively for employment opportunities have been identified as priorities, but the programme also addresses poor educational achievement and the quality of life in terms of the social and physical environment. There are encouraging signs of progress in all these functional areas.
