To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the future of his Department's road from Loch Lomond to Faslane.

This private road through Glen Fruin continues to provide a dedicated route for traffic connected with the planning and development of the Clyde submarine base. Under the terms of the planning conditions set by the Secretary of State for Scotland such use will cease and the glen will be restored to its former condition by no later than January 1997.
