To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether the purchaser or provider in the internal market is the holder of, and responsible for, hospital waiting lists.

Purchasers have a responsibility to maintain a record of all their residents waiting for treatment regardless of where they are waiting. Equally, providers are responsible for maintaining a record of the patients waiting for treatment at their units.
