To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many tourists he estimates will visit the Province in 1992; and if he will make a statement.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the value of tourism in 1992.

Figures are not available for 1992, but the value of tourism in 1991 was £216.6 million, comprising £162 million from visitors from outside Northern Ireland and £54.6 million domestic. The Northern Ireland tourism board is estimating this year a 5 to 10 per cent. increase on the 1991 figure of 1.18 million visitors to Northern Ireland.
