27.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a further statement on the measures he is taking to encourage overseas investment into Northern Ireland.

Our efforts will continue to be concentrated on those markets which offer the best chances of attracting mobile investment, with a geographical emphasis on Asia Pacific, North America and continental Europe. We will, in particular, seek opportunities in sectors such as information technology, medical technology and automotive components but we will also respond positively to any inward investment opportunities outside those sectors.
