To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many and what percentage of officers in grades, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively and overall in her Department are women.
Mr. McLoughlin
Overall, the Department employs 41,555 women who comprise 66.5 per cent. of the total staff. Information on the numbers and percentages of women in grades 1 to 7 is set out in the table.
