To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to publish the recommendations of the local government boundary commission in respect of London boroughs and his (a) acceptance or (b) non-acceptance of those recommendations.

The local government boundary commission publishes its recommendations in the form of final reports to the Secretary of State. Twenty-two London borough reports have been published so far. The commission is expected to submit its final reports on the remainder by the end of October 1992. The Secretary of State has issued his decisions on three of the reports and has accepted all but one of the recommendations.
