To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many places have been provided on the learning for work scheme announced in the Budget.
Mrs. Gillian Shephard
Provision for 30,000 people to take part in learning for work will be available during the 1993–94 academic year starting in September in England and Wales and in August in Scotland.
