To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will change the criteria by which claimants are eligible for disability working allowance so that take-up of the benefit can be improved; and if he will make a statement.

Further measures to encourage take-up were launched in April, including advertisements in the local press, mailings to advisers, and seminars for voluntary organisations. We have no plans to change the eligibility criteria.
