To ask the Secretary of State for Wales when he last met the European Commissioner for regional affairs to discuss the progress made on the distribution of RECHAR money within Wales.

I met Commissioner Millan on 15 March to discuss matters relating to structural funds programmes in Wales. The RECHAR programme monitoring committee has identified projects to take up the whole of the resources made available to the South Wales programme area: these will be fully committed by the end of the year to good projects aimed at the economic and social regeneration of the programme area.
