To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what consideration British Rail's advisory group on disability has given to installing passenger lifts to allow people with mobility disabilities access to railway stations in Scotland; and if he will make a statement.

The role of the British Rail advisory group on disability (BRAG) is to advise BR on provision for disabled passengers. The group does not report to Ministers. The consideration by BRAG of any specific issues is therefore an internal matter for the group and for BR.
