To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what plans he has to end the disposal of dead stock to unlicensed premises in Wales.

The disposal of dead stock is covered by the Animal By-Products Order 1992. Carcases not destined for human consumption must be buried, incinerated or disposed of in premises which are approved under article 8 or registered under article 10 of the order, or to knacker yards licensed by local authorities under the Slaughterhouses Act 1974.
