To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what information he has about the numbers of regular Croatian army forces currently in Bosnia-Herzegovina; what assessment has been made of the potential additional risk their presence poses to British forces under United Nations command; and if he will make a statement.

We have no accurate figures available of the number of regular Croatian army forces in Bosnia-Herzegovina. We judge that the involvement of these forces does not significantly increase the threat to British forces at present.
