To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what is his latest estimate of the receipts from council house sales in Edinburgh that will count towards this year's capital allocation;(2) how much money he will allow Edinburgh district council to borrow for capital expenditure on council housing this year.

Edinburgh district council's gross final HRA capital allocation for investment in council housing in 1993–94 is £30·702 million. This consists of a net allocation of £14·855 million, plus estimated HRA capital receipts of £15·847 million (of which £14·926 million are in respect of council house sales).
