To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how much compensation was paid to benefit recipients by the Benefits Agency in the last 12 months for which figures are available; and if he will break this figure down by benefit.

The latest year for which definitive figures are available is 1991–92.A breakdown of the figures is only available for five benefits. The figures for these benefits are as follows:
