To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list all national health service properties and estates in Wales, indicating their value in each case; and if he has any plans for their future management.
I have placed a list of all national health service properties in Wales and their values, based on valuations completed in 1992, in the Library of the House.I have no plans to change the existing day to day management arrangements for the national health service estate in Wales beyond those which flow from the establishment of national health service trusts. However, following wide consultation on proposals to strengthen the strategic management of the national health service estate my right hon. Friend has approved the establishment of a strategic estates unit, National Health Service Estates: Wales, to be located within the Welsh Health Common Services Authority.
